Screenplay & Direction - Renu
Desai
Cast – Adinath Kothare, Sulagna
Panigrahi, Shailesh Datar, Suchitra Bandekar
Personally,
I have never experienced it; but sex without foreplay will always leave you dissatisfied.
Now, the reason for this tabooed statement is because of the pace of Ishq Wala
Love, which does not suit a romedy; the script unfolds at a speed of a Superfast
Express making it difficult to grasp as well as relate to the emotions involved
in it.
A
couple falls in love at the first sight, spends countless hours on the phone,
meet respective parents, go for a vacation to Mauritus, sleep together (literally)
and bang... The girl says no to marriage. She prefers a live-in. Ok... It’s
predictable from now on.
Unnecessary songs
(I slept during one of them) and dialogues filled with English irritate you. The
best is ‘Mee Tuzhyashi Breakup Kartiye’
(Seriously?) After a lot of WTF moments in the first half I enjoyed the second
half listening to comments passed by a ‘Gawthi’
group sitting next to me. Trust me, they were hilarious.
Renu Desai has probably made this film to
satisfy her ego which tells her that she is something above Saee Paranjpye or
Kathryn Bigelow. The script is so bad that any Makrand Anaspure comedy will
fare better than it. I will personally donate some money from my savings to
ensure she attends a scriptwriting workshop. I genuinely feel we, as critics,
should help struggling filmmakers.
Adinath
Kothare should work as a spot boy in Kothare Vision Pvt, Ltd. (his Dad’s
company) before returning to the big screen. He just can’t act. Or the ‘Mazha Chakula’ can replace Devdatta Nage
(Malhar) in Dad’s serial Jai Malhar
(that character demands minimal expressions and Nage is worse than Chinmay
Mandlekar in that regard). The newbie Sulagna Panigrahi should be excused.
She’s a blonde in all respects.
I
am going with a graceful half star for this film. Go with a Hajmola sachet if you dare to watch it. You won’t be able to
digest easily.
